Gurukul Kindergarten

The Play-way method of the Pre School: Analyzed carefully for its implications, the curriculum is based on the latest research in education and child psychology. The child chooses his own method of learning facilitated by the teacher. At this level, we believe that the child's learning is entirely the outcome of the joint efforts of his parent and teacher. There is no homework, no competition!

Primary

The competency-based curriculum of the Junior School: The teacher introduces guidelines and a carefully sequenced curriculum, which allows the child to learn in a logical step-by- step method. Basic skills of literacy and numeracy are consolidated with a keen focus on the child's abilities and age level. Parents are guided into setting a routine for the child's study at home, while evaluations are continuous, informal and stress-free. The child is finding out more about himself / herself and competitions at this age can cause irrevocable damage to his self- concept and his understanding of society.

Secondary

The sensitive curriculum of the Senior School: The child, more self-reliant now, is provided structured curricula by his/her teacher and he/she takes on greater responsibility for his/her studies. He/She takes formal exams, manages homework, participates in intra- school and inter-school competitions, and is involved in a large number of extra- curricular activities. He/She learns about team-work as part of the House system, observes leadership in the Student Council, and learns to handle success and failure in his/her stride, developing an all-round personality.
